At around 25 weeks

BOOHOO! I had a major weight gain of 4.7kg over a month which made a total of 12kg weight increase!!!!! Where did the weight go to? My boy boy is only 820g today at almost 25 weeks with a head circumference of a 26 week. My BP was flashing at 130/82, i wondered if what happened yesterday affect it. Dr Wong wasn't worried about my BP at all. She mentioned probably after some rest it will drop. Because i was the first patient of the day, i actually had a 30 mins consultation. Questions from walks to epidural to weight gain. Dr Wong couldn't explain the weight gain though she mentioned i looked 'riched' (think she meant enriched) when i asked if i looked fat. She asked about my snacking which i usually have at 10 to 11am and 3 to 4pm. I don't even take supper after dinner lo. Anyway, she suggested that i buy more fruits and cornflakes to put in office to prevent myself on snacking on chocolate filled/marie biscuits. =x Because boy boy is not fat, she cannot control my diet yet. She even suggested that i stopped my powdered milk but start on HL milk just in case the former is too rich. Oh well, i don't know how many tablespoon of milo my hubs mix with my powdered milk though. Haha.

The anxiety to see baby on Ultrasound decreased tremendously when you could monitor and watch the movements under your skin. I would say nothing much to be seen on the photos printed out. They were just the face and legs of the little one. From the ultrasound, i realised that he really love to cover his face with his forearm across. Oh, and i'm right about his biased side of my womb. He loved that right side which explained the pain in my right butt! Today he was head down with his leg fully stretched.

Dr Wong affirmed that my baby would follow the fate of big baby since both parents are 8lbs plus plus at birth. BooHOo... But she assured me that it could be done through normal delivery coz with her petite frame she could push out a 3.6kg baby, so can i. Haha

I will put in some pictures at the end of the day.

Move it!

While I was lying down on the bed with a pillow underneath my right butt (due to the constant pain),the skin underneath my sleep shirt jolted up and down, asking for attention. I beckoned Daddy to watch it and waves like movements were seen. It was indeed very interesting. We turned on the Baby Classical and continued observing my tummy. I could watch it all day long seriously. It just brought me lotsa laughter at how the movements were going. It could twitch like some disco beats or move graciously across a short distance. Totally amazing!

A pleasant MRT trip

Last Friday, a young chap actually asked me where am i alighting. I was pretty surprised as i thought he wanna ask for some directions. But what he did after hearing my destination was to ask an Indian man to get off the priority seat for me. That man immediately stood up and felt embarrassed. I was really very touched then. Where to find such people around now?

To think that i stood all the way from Tampines this morning. Friday was really a pleasant trip even though i only got the seat at City Hall. The train was really packed and everyone was pushing each other to alight. Maybe my huge bag shrouded my bulge.

I hyperventilated again in train today. When i realised i'm in short of breaths, i tried very hard to take deep breaths. Breath in thru nose and out though mouth, making sure that my diaphragm expanded all the way. Despite all my tries, i still felt breathless. Panick crawled in. The moment the mrt door opened, i felt so much better. Luckily, i was only a few stops away from my destination. Phew. Cannot imagine if i get full blast into panick mode. =(

Nose Bleeding

I was happily humming a tune while removing makeup when i saw a STREAM of blood flowed out of my right nostril. I was bleeding from my nose!! Geez, the first time i bled was during the first trimester. That was when i hand itch go dig my nose. It wasn't serious compared to this time. It bleed profusely till i called hubs into the bathroom. He seemed very amused. -_- Even boasted how experienced he was in nose bleeding. ===______=== I proceeded on the bath with my head tilted up. As soon as look down, it bleed again. The bleeding decreased with time though. All thanks to the increased in blood circulation during pregnancy!

The bleeding made me nervous as i never had nose bleeding before. I wonder when my big day comes what would i be feeling. =x

Some tots

One should be contented with what they have. I recently heard of a really sad story from a Nov MTB. She had a preterm labour due to urine infection. Her baby didn't make it. Feel very sorry and sad for her. Seriously, there are some ppl out there still unhappy with the gender of their baby. They are oblivious to all the misfortunes happening around them. I used to have this very weird feeling of becoming a mother but it's time for me to reflect and be contented with what i have.

A pic of my tummy at almost 22 weeks old. It looked as if my head is at the bottom isn't it? Many people commented it's not big for a 5 month old preggy. My waistline is now standing at 35.5 inches which i think is a huge number! Geez... nvm as long as my Ryker is growing healthily in my womb.

The Pram

Our citeria for pram is that the baby can face us while strolling so that left us Capella, Combi and Quinny. Quinny is far too ex and dun look as comfy. However, their 3 wheel system would make a good jogging pram with great stability. Well, $798 was just too much. Combi range was like $400 to $600. They looked good too. But with budget, Capella was quite affordable.
We got the pram over the weekend. It may seemed too early but since there is GSS might as well. I somehow felt cheated coz throughout the whole conversation the lady keep saying $299 which was totally within our budget. Upon payment, another lady said $329 and claimed that only the display set was at $299. My man didn't think that $30 bucks make a difference but i seriously dun agree. The $30 bucks can use to buy pillow set for our baby lo!! ARGH! And I've actually compromised not having warranty to the price of $299 lo! Totally felt cheated but hubs was in his own world, happy with the purchase. Another reason for getting the pram early is to train my dog to walk with the pram. =) This pram of our choice fit just nicely into the car boot. We don't have any extra space for anything else there already haha!
Oh, i wanted to get an in between colour for my future daughter but only left with pink or aqua. So sad.... hubs say next one sure boy and i conveniently told him that this would be his first and only child then haha! It sure keep his mouth shut.

Detailed Scan

Firstly, little baby Chong got his first gift even before he is born!! This car sign was given by Auntie J =). Check out how cool it look like!

A totally boyish sign for Ryker! Many thanks to Auntie J.

Monday marked the third day of my diarrhoea. Unfortunately, it was accompanied with pain, thus i decided to go to my gynae. Hubs couldn't bring me along, thus MIL went along instead. Despite the very long wait, the anxious granny still got to see her grandson. Little Chong stretched his body and yawned for his granny which really made her day. All was fine for my baby. Was given some medicine and off i went off to rest. Felt so weak for the whole day. It was such a waste to see my gynae actually coz i still have to pay for the unscheduled visit and my next appt is on Thurs. Dr Wong was kind enough to waive off the ultrasound scan. Phew, it was still a hefty 62 bucks!

Anyway, i have linked gynae visits with waiting time. An hr of waiting time was required for my detailed scan and another two hrs of waiting time at the clinic. Our stomachs were growling in hunger then!
Summary of my visit: Little Chong was cooperative during the scan and it only took twenty mins. Thank god, everything was normal. He liberally displayed his little manhood.

This picture captured the genitals vividly.
We also managed to catch a glimpse of his nose and lips.

Can you figure out the lips and nose area? We were hoping that the nostrils dun look like daddy can liao. Haha. He seemed to have thick lips like me though. =x Oh, little Chong has a big head circumference nearing to 85 percentile. I asked my gynae if it will give a difficult labour. She mentioned tall girls have bigger pelvic so still can but probably need to push harder. She then looked at Hub's head and said must be from the father. True enough, hub has a big head that made him topple while learning to sit. =x

I seriously cannot figure out this picture as well. You can try. Haha
The most appalling information i had from this visit was I had gained 3kg since last visit despite my diarrhoea! Seriously, beside the snacking i have in the office, i had almost none at home! People say i dun look fat.. then where did the 3 kg go to?? Baby is only 383g! geez.. While typing this entry, hubs making milk for me liao...... saaavvvveee meeeee....... I stood at 63kg today, very soon i will reach 70kg liao!!! BOO HOOO!! To add salt into my wound, my gynae say my boy is not fat, so i dun have to diet...... argh!
I can start seeing movements on my tummy already. It is actually more interesting than feeling it on palm! =)
