Morning Sickness

I have to say, the morning sickness for my second pregnancy was signicantly worse than my first. I remember when i had rye, through the whole pregnancy i only vomit once. To date i think i vomited 5 times with food and gagging almost everyday from week 7 to week 9.

Irony of life, now that it's subsiding, i'm starting to get paranoid. =S

Official start date

I vomited full blast yesterday morning's breakfast that includes milo plus bread with biscuits.

It puts me off milo this morning.

This morning was only gagging. And it was a better morning.

Ate beehoon with sambal chilli and teh for lunch and i puke 1/4 of it.

I only started vomiting officially yesterday. Week 9 tomorrow only!

First and second appointment

Our first appointment was just a 10mm sac at 5 weeks

Second appointment was the flickering heartbeat which Rye listened intently to. His look while listening sent me laughing non-stop which interferes with the doppler. Then my little boy got shocked by the intereference. So did my gynae. It's so damn funny!!

We could see the yolk sac and a not so fetus like shape baby. Heartbeat was pounding at 154bpm.

Dr Wong puts me on Duphaston till week 9 and i hope to go off it since hub keep blaming it for all the morning sickness i had.

My not-so-baby looking baby at 7 weeks!

And the yolk sac!

Progress

At 11 weeks 2 days, the bump is showing. MS starts to dwindle but feel fatigue most of the time. Can't concentrate during work and always hope that i can just nua and do nothing.
Recently heard of a MTB being catagorised into very high risk pregnancy. She is only 27 yrs old and it made me worried for mine too. Really hope all are false positives for her. My next appointment will be next thursday where OSCAR test will be done too. *Worried*
Pregnancy is full of risk and chances taking. Being a mother-to-be, there are bound to be endless worries. No one except MTB can understand how is it like.

My tummy decided to be bigger in the morning! It's usu biggest at night before sleep. So i have to snapshot it and mms to show Daddy.

He was surprised too! Told him baby decided to let daddy know his existence. Pardon the mess in the background. It was early in the morning. Don't expect too much. Haha

My skin

My skin is getting worse. Many tiny bumps on my forehead and cheeks. More and more people asked, "What happen to your face? Your big day coming you know?" I can only smile back and replied, "Don't worry la, got makeup." Ya right, i definitely dun feel that makeup can help coz standing under the sun the bumps wun make an efforts to hide anywhere. I hate the mirror nowadays. Everytime i see my skin, i feel very sad. Will it ever get better? Actually my gynae also commented lo! =(

Second gynae visit (9 Weeks)

Today feels so different from the 1st visit to the gynae. First of all, my mum personally called my man to go to my home and grab the ginseng chicken soup she had cooked for me. Next, my man actually left on time from work to pick me up early !!! Just imagine 15mins earlier than the time he promised!! What a gem ......

Short update on my physiological changes. Yes, i have enlarged breast that could fill up a full C cup now. And mind you, they are painful! I have been getting the nausea attacks despite the fact that nothing came out from my stomach. It's a blessing i guessed. On top of all these, there is this funny discomfort at my gastric all the time. I can't be too hungry nor full if not i will be nausea again!! Oh oh, the worst part is my skin! It's all CLOGGGGGGEEEDDDD. Good grief, i still need to be a bride... sigh...

My weight was first measured upon arrival. Heng! I gained 1kg, now @ 56kg. (But yida lost 3kgs. Not coz of my pregnancy, but coz his BMI is threatening him at an index of 27!) We got to see Dr Wong at 550pm despite being early. Argh... Well, she's really a very nice gynae that even I don't mind waiting awhile more.

After a short discussion, i laid on the bed for the second ultrasound. I didn't tot the small little limbs were so noticeable on screen. The little baby was sleeping while the scan was on. When Dr Wong decided to wake bb up, it actually started kicking the legs and punching the 'air'. Both of us were so amazed and elated. It was pure cuteness! But the movements were very short-lived and it went back to sleep. It was like 4 seconds! Dr Wong asked me to cough a few times to wake the baby up. It finally got disturbed and started stretching the body. Haha... so cute!!

I've been reading. Books say the movements were all reflexes. I wished to think that it was the baby's wish to move around. Oh, we saw the umbilical cord hanging right from the top. Doc says the baby is free to move anywhere in the amniotic sac but gravity explained why it was sleeping at this position now.

Grown almost 6x fr last scan, now measuring at 3.04cm.

The first gynae visit

We had been wanting to see it to truly believe the miracle. I called up my usual gynae at ACJ with Dr Jocelyn Wong and she was so fully booked. I managed to get a slot on the following week which is today.

Our appointment was booked at 430pm. The man of mine was actually LATE. Things didn't went well at the tailor shop where he needed his measurements to be taken for his No. 1. Needless to say, i have been counting down since the day i got the appointment schedule. Yida reached my office at 4pm!!!! We were rushing allllllll the way to get there in time. TMC carpark was only meant for valet parking. Without a choice and time, we had to give our car for the service. Off we rushed to the clinic.

Oh my. The clinic was so packed! Every single seat was taken and all women were carrying their tummies already. I felt like so 'undeveloped'. Haha! We were about 15 mins late but only get to see my gynae at 6pm. Gosh! However, the anticipation to see our baby replaced our impatience.

To tell the truth, we weren't listening attentively. Haha... our eyes gleamed when we could move to the ultrasound machine. Dr Wong wasn't very positive in seeing the baby on scan since it was calculated to be around 6 weeks. She asked Yida to wait outside the curtains and he felt so disappointed. Haha....

To her surprise, she found my embryo without my full bladder. And what amazed me most was the heartbeat. Dr Wong shouted out to ask yida in to view it. He was totally captivated by mother nature. I kept asking if the heartbeat was good enough for 6 weeks and she assured us it was of the right size and beat. Phew!

This is the very first picture of little baby chong! Right now, the placenta has not totally formed and the yolk sac was a main source of nutrients for the embryo now.
The next appointment is 3 weeks later!
Oh i almost forgot to mention that our car was scratched during the valet parking. We were too absorbed in discussing the baby till totally forgot to check the car. =(
